Occupational Therapist

Lauren Powell MS OTR-L (B.S. Appalachian State University, M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University), Occupational Therapist with 8 years of practice in pediatrics, 3 years here at Therapy and Education Connections (online and in-person sessions. Handwriting/Writing Conventions and Orthography, Typing, Executive Functioning, Fine and Gross Motor Skills, Self-Regulation, Social Skills, and Conversation Skills. As a pediatric OT, Lauren loves building relationships with kids and families, focusing on what motivates her clients, targeting emotional regulation through increasing confidence, learning how our bodies work inside and out, and empowering families to help their kids across environments. She also enjoy using DIR Floortime techniques,  working in the pool to do aquatic therapy, and getting to work with children who have a wide variety of skills and ages every day!
