    Macy Helton is a Certified Speech Language Pathologist who graduated from the University of Alabama with both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Macy specializes in receptive and expressive language, articulation, cognitive-linguistic disorders, and early literacy. She is passionate about finding unique ways to engage with students and help them grow. Macy is always excited to learn more about the field and deepen her expertise in Speech-Language Pathology.

    Professional Experience

    Macy is committed to providing effective therapy for a wide range of speech and language disorders. She enjoys working with students of various ages and backgrounds, tailoring her approach to each student’s needs and interests. She serves children with articulation delays, phonological delays, apraxia of speech, language delays, stuttering, pragmatic language delays and dyslexia. Macy continues to expand her knowledge and expertise in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. She has taken LindaMoodbell courses in Phoneme Sequencing, to ensure delivery of evidence based practice in literacy for our children with dyslexia. She is confident and comfortable with children of all ages.

    Education

    Macy earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, focusing on communicative disorders and speech-language pathology. Her academic background provides a strong foundation for her work in diagnosing and treating literacy skills in addition to speech and language challenges in individuals of all ages.
